Carpe Diem, You Only Get One Life.

Hi, i'm Sean, I'm 24, live in St. Louis! and just got out of the Marine Corps.

I like to restore old photos and i am working on my digital art. If you like me feel free to reblog and follow me:) I will follow you if you reblog and display images that i feel like looking at on a daily basis. If you ask me to follow you, most likely i will not.

Hope everyone enjoys my work:)

Happy birthday to me:) This is what i have learned

25 and dont feel a day over 18!:)

——————————————————————————-

You have to get older but no one said you have to grow up.

LIVE you life, you only get one!

be stupid sometimes, make mistakes, get hurt, be remembered. No one ever says “do you remember that man who lived in his house, had a job, and worked till he died an old age?”

Have no regrets! what you have done has made you who you are. If you dont like who you are, change yourself.

It takes only will power to become a different person, if you dont have will power, get it.

Take life by the neck and mold it into what you want.

DO NOT HATE, i emphasize this one, there is so much anger and hatred in this world, don’t make more. It shortens your life and makes you heavy hearted.

Don’t get caught up in drama, or the small stuff, we are just a speck of life in an infinite universe, Do you really need to feel broken hearted every time you go seperate ways in a relationship?

Love, not only your friends, and family, but also that random stranger who is begging for change, that person who cuts you off, that woman with the screaming kids in a restaurant. They are all going through life just as you are, and it is a fine line of choices that separates your situations.

Always find time to laugh, not only is it physically and psychologically good for you, it is also good for those around you. It eases the tension and makes for happy hearts, longer lives, and better drinks.

Find time for friends. We all get busy, but you never know the impact you can have by just hanging out with a friend who asked. They could have been in a bad place in life, and just knowing someone cares kept them going. Dont lose touch, friends are what makes life livable, without them, its a lonely journey.

Family will always be there, they have no choice. Use this to your advantage, keep in contact, call your parents, talk to your brothers and sisters. They have gone through your childhood with you, and they are your oldest friends.

Home, you cant get away from it, eventually you will return. It is a place where you grew up, you rode your bike and you got grounded for coming home late. Never let the bitterness of life taint the perfection of home.

Go outside, it doesnt matter if it is a beautiful sunny day, or a cold cloudy night, nature is always beautiful when you take the time to look at it. Lay in a grass field and just stare at the clouds, no matter how old you get, you will still see animals in them.

Travel, pick a place and go. Dont just have dreams to travel, or thoughts about far off lands, go there. Drink a Guinness in Ireland, cheers with a Viking Light in Iceland, go snorkeling in Jamaica. The world is a beautiful place, but you cant smell the salt of an ocean through a picture.

Embrace your scars. They tell a story of who you are and where you have been. Sometimes where you dont want to go back to.

always make sure you have a towel when you shower and toilet paper when you need it.

War sucks, but being in history books 50 years from now is pretty amazing. If you have what it takes , do it. If you dont, DO NOT! it isnt for everyone and most people need to stay put.

open the windows in your house in the summer. You can hear birds, feel the breeze, smell the fresh cut grass, and still sit on your leather couch inside.

Appreciate you parents, this isnt the same as just family. They have put blood sweat and tears into raising you. they have lost sleep, hair, and fingernails making sure you come home at night, or graduate on time, or make it home from wars… They deserve more love and respect then we can even begin to give them.

Look a person in the eyes when you shake their hand. it shows genuine interest in meeting them. The eyes are your physical manifestation of your soul, they can tell you a lot about a person.

Do something random. Compliment a stranger, leave an unexpected tip, or just  take a day off work to relax and go to the Zoo.

Always hold doors for people, whether you know them or not. Not only is it polite and shows respect, but it can sometimes restore someones faith in a generation.

Use the words “beautiful” “gorgeous” “stunning” “attractive” “doll”  instead of “sexy” or “hot”. If a girl is worth your time, she deserves to be treated as such.

take pictures, your memory fades and changes. Digital pictures do not.

Accept compliments, if someone is nice enough to tell you “you look nice today” then they mean it. Accept it with a thank you and a smile. Confidence and a smile is more attractive than any physical feature.

this will continue :)

Just broke 2 of my toes…

You may wonder how someone who has deployed to two wars, been to countless countries and ran countless miles through every terrain possible broke 2 toes just now, maybe working out? nope, running? nope… I was changing a lightbulb on a ceiling light…and fell off the chair… FML… my pinkie toe and the one next to it are clearly shattered lol, perfect timing :-|, i am moving back to St. Louis on friday… This makes the moving process oh so much fun
